The first two sessions of therapy are to assess how anxiety and/ or depression affects you or your child. These sessions are a standard part of CBT and are also a chance to decide whether you would like to continue therapy. Further sessions continue on a weekly basis for one hour at a time and a course of therapy usually lasts from five to twenty weeks. For more information about this, please see the blog called what is therapy like, in the resources section of this website.
(Please note that Elisabeth is unable to offer crisis support. If you or your child feel at risk of harming yourself or someone else, please speak to your GP, attend your local NHS A&E department or contact the Samaritans).
Elisabeth has offices in Liverpool and Ormskirk but if you find it hard to access these places, Skype or home appointments can be arranged.
Each hour is £65. You can decide to pay immediately after each session by cash or by BACS transfer.
Missed or cancelled appointments with less than 24 hours notice are charged at £32.50.
