Written simply, it is a clinical workbook written for people who want to use cbt techniques. It explains how low self esteem comes about and what you can do to challenge it. The most common parts of the book that I tend to focus on with my clients is ‘checking out anxious predictions’, ‘combating self criticism and enhancing self acceptance’. I often use ‘key questions to help you find alternatives to self critical thoughts’ as this can help you to challenge the self critical thoughts. This is a great resource alongside therapy or have been through therapy and want to keep up your practice.
