What to do When Your Brain Gets Stuck. A Kids Guide To Overcoming OCD
I love this book because it helps a child feel that their OCD is controllable and they can do certain things to keep it in check. It also helps them develop confidence. My favourite chapters are ‘your first tool: I spy’, ‘your second tool: talk back’, ‘your third tool: show OCD who’s boss and ‘putting your tools to work’. These chapters in particular give specific strategies to challenge OCD which a child can use in conjunction with OCD and after therapy has finished. The book is illustrated in black and white.
This book is suitable for children aged 6-12
